About SkillScope

What SkillScope does

You rate 72 workplace skills by how satisfying it would be to use each one often in your job. From those ratings you get a free Holland (RIASEC) personality type right away. For a one-time fee of $4.99, you also get your ranked career clusters, your top matching occupations, and a skill-by-skill comparison against any occupation, with 6 months of access and unlimited retakes. There is no subscription and no recurring charge, and SkillScope is available in English and Spanish.

Who it's for

Individuals exploring what to do next: students choosing a direction, people considering a career change, or anyone who wants a clearer picture of which kinds of work suit them.

Schools and organizations can license SkillScope for their students or members. Administrators manage their own accounts and see completion reporting, and students can sign in with a username or through a single link from a student information system.

Where the results come from

Your personality result uses the Holland Occupational Themes (RIASEC) model, and your occupation matches draw on the O*NET database, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration and used here under a Creative Commons attribution license. What SkillScope is not

SkillScope is a starting point for career exploration, not a replacement for personalized advice from a qualified career counselor. It isn't a hiring test, a job board, or a recruiting platform, and it doesn't guarantee any job or career outcome.

Accessibility and privacy

We build SkillScope to meet WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards, so it works with keyboards, screen readers, and different display settings. The only cookie we set is the one that keeps you signed in, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies. You can download your data or delete your account at any time from your profile page; the full details are in our Privacy Policy.
