Description of Service

SkillScope is a self-assessment tool: you rate 72 workplace skills, and in return receive a free Holland (RIASEC) personality type plus, after a one-time paid purchase, ranked career cluster and occupation matches for 6 months, with unlimited retakes and saved assessments during that window.

Eligibility

If you are creating an individual account on your own behalf, you must be at least 13 years old. SkillScope is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

If your account was created or provisioned by a school, school district, college, or other organization that has licensed SkillScope (a "Site"), your access is governed by that organization's own agreement with us. The organization is responsible for obtaining any parental or guardian consent required by law for its own students or members before provisioning their accounts.

Your Account

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. Let us know right away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

Fees and Payment

Full individual access is a one-time fee of $4.99, granting 6 months of unlimited retakes and saved assessments from the date of purchase. There is no recurring or automatic billing.

If you're not satisfied with your individual purchase, contact us within 7 days of your purchase date for a full refund, no questions asked.

When a full refund is issued, your access continues for 3 more days so you can download a copy of your personal data or delete your account from your Profile page, and then ends. We will email you when the refund is issued.

This refund policy applies only to individual purchases. Access provisioned through a school, school district, college, or other organization's site license is governed by that organization's own agreement with us, not by this refund policy.

Acceptable Use

Use the service only for its intended purpose. Don't attempt to disrupt, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service, misuse the free-text notes feature to store or transmit unlawful content, or share your account with others.

Intellectual Property and Third-Party Data

The Holland (RIASEC) framework used in this service is a well-established, publicly documented model of career interests; it is not proprietary to us.

Some occupation and skill data used in this service is derived from the O*NET® database, developed by the National Center for O*NET Development and sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (USDOL/ETA), used under the CC BY 4.0 license. O*NET® is a trademark of USDOL/ETA. This product is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration.

Aside from that third-party data, the design, text, and software of SkillScope are owned by us and may not be copied or redistributed without permission.

No Professional Advice

SkillScope is a well-informed starting point for your own career exploration, not a substitute for personalized advice from a qualified career counselor.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your Profile page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

Changes to These Terms

If we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
